Quick Facts
Experienced guides will lead you on all 3 Peaks treks.
42 km total horizontal distance, 3000 vertical metres, 3 summits. Weather and mountain conditions mean this event is most suitable between May and October. However, if you’re aiming to attempt the Challenge in winter conditions, please let us know; we can consider a bespoke private event.
There are pick-up and drop-off options along the route, providing you with several different options – choose the most convenient. (See our transport section for further details)
We adhere to all road traffic safety regulations for obvious safety reasons and provide expert driving teams with experience of the 3 Peaks and its challenges.
We provide ‘open’ dates for individuals to join or bespoke events for group sizes of 8 or more – please ask for alternative dates.
While there is more time on the 3-day event, it is still a considerable undertaking, and you need a good level of base fitness. The fitter your group, the more likely you will be able to complete the Challenge!
Have you got what it takes? Determination? Resilience? Then join us!
About & Details
The 3 Day 3 Peaks Challenge is a mission to climb the three highest peaks in the UK over 3 days, one each day. Enjoy the magnificent scenery these peaks have to offer while challenging your strength, endurance, and determination.
Trek the peaks in the following order, Ben Nevis (Scotland), Scafell Pike (England), and Snowdon (Wales).
Assemble at Fort William on a Thursday, beginning with Ben Nevis on Friday morning, climb Scafell Pike on Saturday and finish Snowdon on Sunday. Even though this is a more relaxed timescale than the 3 Peaks Challenge, this is a tough event. People participating should have the necessary fitness. We aim to complete each of the mountains within 6-8 hours; however, this will depend upon the group’s speed as a whole. Experienced mountain leaders will guide you, and there is a support vehicle with a driver accompanying you throughout the Challenge.

It is usual for this trip to occur over a ‘long’ weekend, Friday to Sunday. However, if you would like to do this at any other time, including midweek, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Transport
Our transport vehicle completes a round trip from Manchester during each road-based (North to South) 3 Peaks event. We provide pick up points for you at the following locations:
Anywhere on the M61, M6, M74, and A82 between Manchester and Fort William
Manchester Piccadilly Station (approx. 10 am)
Glasgow International airport approx. 4.00 pm (not Prestwick.)
If based in the South of the UK, we recommend you fly to Glasgow International Airport and catch the return train from Manchester; this saves you a lot of time in the drive vehicle.
Drop off points are:
Anywhere on the A55 and M56 between Snowdonia and Manchester Manchester Airport
Manchester Piccadilly Station
(Alternative pick up and drop off points can be discussed before booking)
Pick-up times are the day before the event, and drop-off is during the afternoon of the finish. We aim to finish in Snowdon by mid-afternoon on the last day of each event; therefore, your drop-off should be no later than 6 pm on a Sunday. However, there are no guarantees as it depends on the speed of your group. If you are making your way to Fort William for your Challenge’s start, we advise that you arrive the Thursday afternoon/evening. You will then be in time for the evening briefing and ready for the start of the Challenge the next day.
